Nicky Tags, throwing down a beat. Nick, a new and up-coming producer has just been featured on Shaun D's Shawty's on my Mind. Nick created the beat and sings on the chorus. As seen in this video, Kevin is a total toolbag, but trys hard to regain friendship.

ol' yela......wolf
I just saw this vid, it got me thinking. So i started to look more into this yelawolf, and I really like his shit now. Not many half white, half native american rappers out there. But yelawolf really puts his cards on the table and isn't afraid to call out your bluff.

The Pursuit of Nappyness ;)

Hailing from Kentucky, the Grammy-nominated music group known as Nappy Roots exploded into the hip-hop scene with their massive hit single, "Awnaw" in 2002 from their platinum, Atlantic Records debut album titled, Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz. The group followed up with Wooden Leather, their critically acclaimed major label sophomore album, and have since worked with the who's who of the music industry -- such as Anthony Hamilton, Raphael Saadiq, Kanye West, David Banner, Lil Jon, and Jazze Pha, to name a few.
Like any true success story, there have been roadblocks and setbacks, but Nappy has more than cemented their feet and are here to stay. In their home state of Kentucky, Governor Paul Patton even sanctioned September 16th as Nappy Roots Day.
Nappy Roots are back again, exactly in the position they want to be in... as they gain artistic freedom in their careers, and land a new deal with Fontana (a division of Universal Music Group). Highly intelligent artists, passionate about political views and really wanting to make an impact in the world, the group spent an hour with BallerStatus.com speaking on everything from hip-hop to Barack Obama to the marijuana of Kentucky, known as the bluegrass state.

"recovery" tracklist.
First, Eminem ope ne d up his circle of producers to include Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Mobb Deep's Havoc on his Ju ne 22 album, Recovery. Now, the album's track list has arrived via RapRadar.com, and it finds Slim Shady collaborating with a cadre of artists he's never worked with before in his career.
Pink, Rihanna and Kobe, a singer who appeared on Fabolous' last album, highlight the list of guests on Recovery, Em's follow-up to last year's Re lapse Lil Wayne is the only other guest who appears on the album. The two lyricists collaborated previously on Wayne's rock-leaning project Rebirth, but they've never traded rhymes with each other on the same song; on "Drop the World," Wayne sings for the most part aided by Auto-Tune, and Eminem delivers a rap verse at the end of the number.
The lead single from Recovery, "Not Afraid," premiered a month ago and quickly established that Eminem was back. The track debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, making the rapper one of only a handful of artists to achieve the feat.
The cover artwork for Recovery debuted earlier this week on the rapper's website.
MTV News' request to Interscope Records to confirm the track list has not been returned as of press time.
Recovery track list, according to RapRadar.com:
1. "Cold Wind Blows"
2. "Talkin' 2 Myself" (featuring Kobe)
3. "On Fire"
4. "Won't Back Down" (featuring Pink)
5. "W.T.P."
6. "Going Through Changes"
7. "Not Afraid"
8. "Seduction"
9. "No Love" (featuring Lil Wayne)
10. "Space Bound"
11. "Cinderella Man"
12. "25 to Life"
13. "So Bad"
14. "Almost Famous"
15. "Love the Way You Lie" (featuring Rihanna)
16. "You're Never Over"

day the earth stood stilll
Ben is the second dope track I’ve come across from DaVinci’s “The Day The Turf Stood Still.” DaVinci does a lot of creatively conscious shit – upon first look, I actually thought dude was talking about how much money he got. If you like this, check out What You Finna Do.

free ice cream

Kats “I Can Levitate” Album Review
I’ve really enjoyed following the progression of NYC’s Free Ice Cream crew over the past year. A local collective of underground emcees and beatmakers, Free Ice Cream throws Maker’s Mark sponsored barbeques in Williamsburg every weekend during the summer, featuring free food, free whiskey, and free CDs. They drop a new free album monthly, highlighted by the “Almost Fameless” series which feature a huge list of local rappers, producers and deejays. And they follow up most of the releases with concerts featuring a dope roster of artists and, yup, free whiskey. Kats’ “I Can Levitate” is the latest free album by the crew, and definitely worth checking out HERE.
