Slug and MURS are back for part three. This time they have the inclusion of Aesop Rock production to help level the playing field. Sort of ironic, MURS isn’t with Warner Bros. anymore, however this is being distributed by….WARNER BROS./Rhymesayers. The “TI’s” always win. I guess that’s the lesson here? That and Rosie Perez has hit the wall and is no longer worth “jumping for”, even if you’re not a white man.
Hip hop, other ground all stars P.L.G. (Para La Gente) is gaining new fans everyday with debut album “People Living Growing.” Led by Cambio’s smooth and playful flows, the quintet recently released a hot video for single "Synth Love," a track that challenges the notion of "he/she is not your type" with a banging club beat.
The upstart band is fresh from an ambitious album tour in Mexico with Bocafloja and other international artists this past summer, getting crowds hyped with lyrical, rocking, funkdafied, fire. Based from Cali’s Central Coast, PLG has been steady swaying major city nightclubs, college campuses, political protest rallies, music festivals, down to all-ages shows at youth centers since its birth in 2003. check out their myspace and buy their cd, its fresh. they rock a tiny bit of Spanish, thats a plus, its sounds uber smooth.
Blacastan released this 2006 album “Me Against The Radio” and received some good press and reviews. This is a UGHH-sponsored FREE download of that album – remixed by DJ Food Stamp and DJ JayCeeOh. I downloaded it this morning, and ended up bumping it all day and I recommend you do the same. Blacastan’s “Me Against The Radio.”
I’m so amped they dropped a video for this. I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman is one of my favorite tracks off K-os’ latest album “Yes!” – which is in the running for my favorite album of 2009. This track features fellow Canadian hip-hop superstar Saukrates. Also, its a western...cant get much better.
